Description of the American Curl on WikiPet.by
According to the description, the American curl is a medium-sized cat, muscular, with a short wedge-shaped muzzle and almond-shaped, slightly slanting eyes.
The main distinguishing feature in the description of American Curls - ears, bent back. Three degrees of bending are distinguished:
- the first degree - the ear is slightly bent back (such cats are just pets)
- second degree - bending back more (these cats can participate in breeding)
- the third degree - the auricle is bent by a crescent (these are show cats).
All American Curl kittens have normal ears at birth, and only at 6 months (sometimes even later) does it become clear which of the babies' ears will be characteristically bent.
According to the official description, American curls come in 2 varieties: long-haired and short-haired.
The color of the American curl can be any, including silver tabby, pure white, color point or classic red.
